Romanian sheep exit Jordan market
Jordan has halted the import of live sheep from Romania after cases of "Blue Tongue" disease were detected among sheep flocks, as a precautionary measure to protect the livestock. As an alternative, Jordan has begun importing Spanish and Syrian goat meat, with an expected arrival of shipments of Spanish meat in the coming period. These meats are known for their high quality and reasonable prices, ranging between 9 and 10 dinars per kilogram. It is also worth noting that the domestic market will receive around 100,000 head of Syrian goats to enhance supply and stabilize the market.
