Gas vessel fire at Damietta Port from suspected drone attack
A fire broke out on my gas vessel at the Port of Damietta in Egypt following a drone attack, during which an offshore storage ship was targeted, leading to fires on both vessels. The crew was evacuated, and the fire was brought under control. No party has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. The incident comes amid escalating regional tensions, with Egypt's contacts with the United States and Pakistan to discuss de-escalation and avoid wider escalation in the area.
