Houthis confirm member killed in Iraq
The Houthi militia officially confirmed its military presence in Iraq, acknowledging the death of one of its members, the leader Mohammed Khalid Al-Ayashi, as a result of airstrikes targeting Iranian-affiliated militia sites in Iraq. The report indicated that Al-Ayashi was killed alongside four Iranian advisors, with their bodies transferred to Tehran, suggesting the existence of "joint operational rooms" supervised by Iran, bringing together the Houthis and Iraqi militias. The source also confirmed that the missile and drone operations were carried out under orders from an Iraqi faction, but operated by Yemenis in consultation, reflecting a shift of the Houthi presence from mere political representation to active military operations and coordination within Iraq as part of the Axis of Resistance.
