U.S. military targets dozens in Iran
The U.S. military announced that early Thursday morning it completed a new round of strikes against Iranian targets inside Iran in response to attempted missile attacks targeting American forces in the Middle East. The strikes targeted dozens of sites belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, such as command centers, missile facilities, and drone installations, aiming to reduce threats to American personnel and U.S. navigation in the region. These operations come after Iran launched ballistic missiles from its territory in an attempt to attack U.S. forces in Jordan, with all missiles being successfully intercepted. These actions follow a temporary pause in military campaigns against Iran during the Trump administration and indicate escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran amid warnings of an broader regional escalation.
