The Palestinian Prisoners Club has confirmed that the Israeli occupation authorities have carried out over 24,600 arrests in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, since the beginning of the aggression against the Gaza Strip. This unprecedented escalation reflects a fundamental shift in the policies of detention, which have become part of a systematic collective punishment targeting all segments of Palestinian society, with the continued disappearance of detainees from the occupied Gaza Strip. Currently, there are approximately 9,400 Palestinian prisoners, including 785 women and 380 children, who are facing harsh living and humanitarian conditions, including torture, starvation, and medical neglect. Nearly 100 prisoners have died since October 2023, amid an increase in arrests, abuse, and destruction inflicted upon families and properties.
