Governorate mandates foreign Tawjihi student recognition
The Jordanian Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Azmi Mufleh, issued a circular stating that students holding foreign high school certificates (Bagrut) will not be permitted to register at Jordanian universities unless they submit an official equivalency certificate from the Ministry of Education. This policy will take effect starting from the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year. The decision also requires students to meet the specified GPA and major requirements outlined in the university admission policy.
