Security issues heat safety alert
The Public Security Directorate warns of the impact of the hot air mass affecting the kingdom starting today, Thursday, reaching its peak on Saturday, and continuing until mid-next week. It calls for adherence to preventive guidelines to reduce the risks of heatstroke, heat exhaustion, and fires. These include avoiding direct exposure to the sun during midday hours, drinking plenty of fluids, wearing light clothing, and using head coverings. It also emphasizes the importance of supervising children, not leaving flammable materials inside vehicles, staying away from dense grasses, and contacting emergency services (911) when needed to ensure a rapid response and protect public safety.
