49 lawyers sworn in before Justice Minister
Forty-nine lawyers, including 14 graduates of the Lawyers Training Institute and 35 new lawyers, took the legal oath before the Minister of Justice, Dr. Bassem Tleihuni, in Amman. This was in response to the requirements of the Bar Association Law, which for the first time mandates that lawyers registered in the Bar Association registry swear the oath before the Minister in the presence of the Bar President or two members of the Bar Council. This batch is considered the first group of graduates from the Institute, which was opened last year, indicating an effort to increase the number of practicing lawyers and to activate legal accreditation procedures in the sector.
