Washington transfers 24 ships over Iran blockade
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the transfer of 24 commercial ships by July 30 as part of its naval operations to strengthen Washington's blockade of Iran. This comes amid escalating tensions between the two countries, with some ships being delayed and searched, and maritime patrols intensified using P-8 Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft equipped with aerial refueling. Iran views these measures as an unwarranted escalation and affirms that it will respond to attempts to disrupt international trade.
