Minister of Education and Human Resources Development, Azmi Mahrestha, explains that the new General Secondary Examination system, "Tawjihi," is subject to continuous evaluation. It has been fully implemented for the first time this year after reducing the number of fields from six to four, based on a study of students' preferences and their distribution across disciplines. The system relies on two tracks in the 11th and 12th grades, with 30% of the grades allocated to specialized subjects in the first year and 70% in the second year, aiming to help students determine their future university majors. The ministry focuses on developing human resources through ongoing teacher training and the enhancement of both academic and vocational education. Additionally, plans are underway for a major restructuring to strengthen the educational workforce in the coming years.
