Lawyers: Validity of Jordanian women's children's acceptance letter disputed
The Jordanian Bar Association issued a clarification regarding the eligibility of Jordanian daughters to join the association and enroll in the training institute for trainee lawyers. It confirmed that admission requires that the Arab individual holding the nationality of a country that has reciprocated with Jordan must be a bona fide and permanent resident of Jordan. Since September 2022, the number of Jordanian daughters who met the criteria and were admitted has reached 22 lawyers. The association also clarified that the primary condition is mutual treatment and Arab nationality. The total number of registered lawyers has now reached 37,575, including 18,984 practicing attorneys.
