Implement electronic system for food oversight
The Public Food and Drug Administration discussed with the Restaurant and Sweets Owners' Association the promotion of best practices for health and safety in the restaurant sector, especially shawarma restaurants, in accordance with health standards and requirements. The Authority announced its intention to adopt an electronic inspection system to enhance oversight and traceability, which will contribute to improving food safety and increasing consumer confidence. This is considered a key element for public health and will also support investment and tourism. Both parties agreed to continue dialogue and direct coordination, with a later date set to follow up on developments.
