King: Palestinian issue key to regional stability
King Abdullah II stated that the Palestinian issue remains central in the region, emphasizing that failing to address it will lead to repeated and increasing waves of violence, with repercussions extending beyond the region. He pointed to the escalation of settler attacks, expansion of illegal settlements, land confiscations, as well as home demolitions and violations in Jerusalem. He called for respect for international law and United Nations resolutions, focusing on achieving a just solution that ensures the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as its capital, and continued efforts by the Kingdom to support Gaza and coordinate with China to back a two-state solution.
