The Jordanian Ministry of Health has launched new clinics at Al-Basher Hospital and Prince Hamzah Hospital to assess recently referred cases from health centers and hospitals. The aim is to reduce waiting periods that sometimes reach up to 8 months and to expedite patients' access to specialists. These clinics cover specialties including internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, and pediatrics, enabling the medical evaluation of patients on the same day or within a short period. This speeds up diagnosis and the determination of the appropriate treatment, whether medical, surgical, or referral to another specialist. This initiative aims to improve patient pathway organization, minimize overcrowding, and enhance resource efficiency—particularly in hospitals under high pressure. It is part of the Ministry's efforts to reorganize the medical referral system and achieve more effective and faster healthcare services.
