The Court of Cassation in Jordan upheld a sentence issued by the State Security Court against a suspect for possession of drugs with the intent to sell in Amman. The suspect was detained during an operation where a security officer pretended to buy drugs from him. Investigations revealed additional amounts of hashish and Captagon pills found at his residence. The court initially sentenced the defendant to five years in prison and a fine of 5,000 dinars, but later amended the penalty to three years and four months in prison and a fine of 3,500 dinars, confirming the validity of the legal procedures and deliberations. This case is part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in Jordan and demonstrates the judiciary's commitment to continue the campaign against traffickers.
