The purpose of celebrating the anniversary of the Prophet's birthday is to strengthen love and appreciation for the Prophet of Islam, as well as to reinforce Islamic values and morals within the community. Exchanging gifts and offering charitable acts are considered a key part of this celebration, with simple gifts among colleagues being preferred to reflect blessings and joy, focusing on distributing sweets, inexpensive perfumes, and giving charity and Zakat to the poor. This celebration is held on the anniversary of the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal, which falls in 2026 on Tuesday the 25th or Wednesday the 26th of August, according to astronomical calculations.
