The Higher Council for Persons with Disabilities' Program concluded a training workshop on political empowerment, in collaboration with the German Konrad Adenauer Foundation. The program involved 20 young men and women who are members of parliamentary parties and activists with disabilities. Its goal is to promote the integration of persons with disabilities into party work and parliamentary activities, and to enhance their participation in advancing their issues within political parties and legislative blocks. The training focused on inclusive party work concepts, the mechanisms of forming parliamentary blocs, the importance of addressing disability rights in political life and parliamentary work, as well as developing political communication skills to effectively convey their messages and challenge negative stereotypes. The program included practical training on engaging with the public and media, emphasizing body language and tone of voice to improve the effectiveness of advocating for disability issues in the political arena.
