U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that there are currently no negotiations or talks with Iran, noting that the maritime blockade against Iran remains in effect and that the Strait of Hormuz is open and operational after minesweeping operations. He clarified that the primary goal of the United States is to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, reaffirming this commitment. These statements come amid stalled diplomatic efforts between Washington and Tehran and ongoing tensions regarding the Strait of Hormuz and the maritime blockade, following the expiration of an unrenewed temporary truce, amidst disagreements over Iranian oil exports and ensuring the safe passage of vessels.
