Fouad Hijazi's body returns to Beirut
The Jordanian artist Foad Hijazi has passed away at the age of 75 in Al-Hussein Medical City in Amman, after a long struggle with illness. His family transferred him to Beirut for burial in his hometown. Hijazi was one of the most prominent musicians and artists who contributed to enriching the Jordanian and Arab artistic scene for more than five decades. He began his career in 1965 in the music department of the Jordanian Radio, producing numerous songs, folkloric and patriotic works, in addition to an acting experience in films from Damascus and Beirut. He recently received treatment following royal directives in May 2025, before passing away at the age of 75. A mourning house was organized at the Jordanian Artists Syndicate in Al-Luweibdeh to receive condolences.
