A passenger ship of the "Express" model capsized off the coast of Kyrenia in northern Cyprus immediately after leaving the port, carrying 279 people. The incident caused severe damage to the fiberglass hull of the ship, and it was reported that the vessel split into two halves. Rescue teams in boats and life rafts moved to assist in rescuing survivors and evacuating the injured. Information regarding the number of injuries and their severity remains unclear, as rescue operations continue amid concerns about the ship's age and manufacturing affecting its safety.
