Aqaba Dates Yield Nearly 800 Tons Annually
Aqaba Dates extend over more than 10,000 dunams, and their production is expected to approach 800 tons soon, by 2026, reflecting significant expansion in the palm cultivation sector in the region. Current data indicates that the cultivated areas amount to approximately 10,377 dunams, with around 98,630 palm trees, most of which are located in Al-Qilah and Wadi Arabah. Al-Qilah leads production, accounting for 69%, with nearly 545 tons produced in 2025. The sector is growing rapidly, offering opportunities to develop the date industry and enhance competitiveness in both the domestic and international markets. Production is expected to increase further as new trees mature.
