Al-Kharabsheh Provides Power to 331 Homes
During a meeting chaired by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Kharebash, the Higher Steering Committee for rural electrification in Jordan approved the extension of electrical power to 331 homes and sites at a total cost of 1.317 million Jordanian dinars in August. This was achieved using standard grid networks and solar panel systems. The projects included residential homes both inside and outside designated urban areas, as well as support for the agricultural sector, livestock projects, and artesian wells outside urban boundaries, with a total cost of approximately 414,000 dinars. Additionally, support was provided for poultry farms, sheep farms, fisheries, productive, investment, and tourism projects, aiming to enhance employment opportunities and local development. Special attention was given to improving farmers’ living standards and supporting impoverished families through the installation of solar panel systems at a cost of 49,000 dinars. The government also reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing development of electricity services, improving their quality, and facilitating connection requests according to established standards.
