Chinese President Xi Jinping affirmed that the war in the Middle East does not serve the common interests of the international community. He stated that the escalation resulting from the U.S. and Israeli attack on Iran has caused significant harm to the peoples of the region, with the situation in the Gulf worsening. This statement came during his visit to New Delhi to participate in the BRICS summit, which focuses on conflicts, trade, and energy. Expectations are that discussions will mainly address the impact of the ongoing war since February on oil markets and global trade. He added that Beijing is ready to strengthen cooperation with India and work together to address these challenges, despite previous tensions between the two countries.
