Wadi Al Zarqa'a, a key fossil fuel example
A study of the Wadi Al-Zarqa areas in Jordan reveals a rich fossil heritage dating back approximately 70 million years. Remains of ancient creatures have been found, such as the Philadelphia bird, which had wings extending about 13 meters and relied on gliding using air currents for flight. Additionally, a fragment of a dinosaur's jaw was discovered in Wadi Al-Dhail, along with evidence of early evolutionary stages of elephant and mammoth lineages. The findings also include the Arab Teln Al-Anab dragonfly, whose wingspan reached about five meters. These discoveries have significantly contributed to our understanding of ancient life in the region. Collecting these results in a specialized museum would support scientific research and education, while also boosting scientific tourism by linking geological and fossil sites.
