The article addressed the call by Hamad bin Jassim, the former Qatari Prime Minister, for direct dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Iran in order to resolve the current crisis. He emphasized the necessity for discussions to focus on permanently resolving existing issues, with the establishment of a roadmap to strengthen relations that ensures regional stability—such as opening the Strait of Hormuz fee-free and facilitating duty-free trade. He also underscored the importance of supporting Saudi Arabia and its role in defending Gulf borders, calling for the activation of the Peninsula Shield Force to counter the Houthi escalation on the Saudi border. Hamad hopes that the upcoming meeting in Oman will succeed in initiating a dialogue that builds trust and promotes security and stability in the region.
