U.S. officials have reported that Iran obtained high-resolution images from Chinese sources before and after the missile attack that targeted the Mujaf Al-Sulthi base in Jordan on July 17, which resulted in the deaths of three U.S. soldiers and injuries to four others. The connection between the images and the attack suggests that access to these images could enhance Iran's capabilities in target identification and military site surveillance with greater precision. This raises American concerns over Tehran continuing to receive data and images from Chinese sources to support its military activities in the region. Washington has not directly accused the Chinese government but has requested evidence and emphasized the need to respect technology export regulations.
