The Houthis employed an AI-based tool called "Clod" in an attempt to develop guidance and navigation programs for weapons, including ballistic and hypersonic missiles. A report from the company "Anthropik" revealed that the Houthis exploited the program to begin testing and to refine automated control systems, while trying to bypass the security measures implemented by the company by concealing their objectives and dividing their work across multiple sessions. Although a test of a guided missile ended in failure, the Houthis are using "Clod" to perform complex engineering tasks typically handled by software engineers, thereby enhancing their capabilities in developing advanced weapons, despite their ultimate failure to develop fully operational weaponry.
