The news warns drivers of a serious violation involving the absence of vehicle license plates or deliberate concealment of them, as it indicates an intention to carry out criminal or security-related acts. Authorities impose fines ranging from 200 to 300 dinars, in addition to impounding the vehicle for a period between 24 hours and 30 days, or sentencing the offender to one to two months in jail.
