The article addressed MP Ayman Al-Baddoda’s criticism of practices where a woman leads a tribal council to resolve a dispute, emphasizing that a council is not a forum to empower women. It pointed out that such gatherings are rooted in customary and traditional practices that distinguish society, and that women are not required to assume these roles according to customs and traditions. The article clarified that women’s involvement in these positions could harm their social standing, underscoring the importance of respecting traditional frameworks and not overstepping them. It also rejected the politicization of women’s empowerment within the context of such practices.
