Romania adopts "black card" in stadiums
The Romanian Football Federation has adopted a new measure in youth competitions involving the use of a "black card" to address offensive behaviors by parents and supporters in the stands during matches for children from under 7 to under 16 years old. The implementation begins with a temporary suspension of the game and involves requesting intervention from the coaches to calm the crowd. If the misconduct continues, the match is paused for 10 minutes, and the players must leave the field. Should such behavior recur after play resumes, the referee has the authority to terminate the game immediately, in order to protect the children from pressure and maintain sportsmanship. This step is part of previous efforts to reduce negative behaviors in youth matches.
