Rubio urges Iran team to exit US talks
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio reported that the United States requested the Iranian delegation to leave New York immediately, following days of negotiations between Washington and Tehran during the United Nations General Assembly. Sources explained that the talks have reached an impasse, despite Qatari mediation efforts, reflecting a deterioration in trust between the two sides. The American official confirmed that the Iranian delegation, including Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, departed for Doha in the early hours of Tuesday, in a move that signals increased pressure on Iran to de-escalate or face the possibility of military action. In a series of unsteady statements, U.S. President Donald Trump suggested the potential for military strikes, as tensions escalate and a swift resolution seems increasingly urgent.
