Flydubai pilot to India PM: opened door during attack
The Indian pilot was attacked during a Fly Dubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv, suffering serious injuries after an attacker tried to stab him. It was reported that he opened the cockpit door during the incident. Additionally, a report stated that a plane from the same airline, flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv, changed course to Saudi Arabia after sending emergency signals following a fight between the pilots, not as a result of a hijacking attempt. The incident was not classified as a security operation. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu applauded the bravery of Indian pilot Simet Matschchar, who saved the lives of 174 people, emphasizing that his actions prevented an aviation disaster.
