Amman Municipality Declares Emergency
The Greater Amman Municipality announced a light emergency status starting this evening, Monday, and a moderate level beginning tomorrow morning, Tuesday, to address the expected weather conditions. It emphasized the readiness of its teams to intervene and guide citizens on safety procedures, such as avoiding valleys and low-lying areas, not connecting roof drains to sewer lines, and inspecting submersible pumps in buildings and commercial markets. The municipality also called on contractors and project owners to secure building materials to prevent blocking rainwater drainage systems, as part of preparations to confront the anticipated rainfall.
