Ministerial Council Decision Details
Enticing incentives and exemptions have been approved to attract investment in the automotive manufacturing and assembly industry in the Aqaba Development Zone. These include supporting electricity prices by up to 70% for five years, reducing land prices by 60%, and providing customs and high tax facilities to enhance competitiveness. Additionally, the investor must commence operations within one year of signing the agreement. The incentives are linked to increasing the percentage of assembly and manufacturing within Jordan, along with substantial support for employing Jordanians to ensure an economic and developmental impact and to create jobs.
