Britain shuts Jerusalem consulate
Reports indicate that the British government has removed the consular signs in East Jerusalem following an Israeli order to close them by Thursday, in response to London's plans to impose sanctions on Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. This development marks a deterioration in the relations between the two countries, with Israel considering the closure a threat to their diplomatic ties, while Britain continues its efforts to maintain its diplomatic presence in Jerusalem.
