Weather radar shows heavy storms in south and east Amman
The Meteorological Department expects scattered thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain in parts of southern and eastern Jordan, including Ma'an, Tafilah, Kerak, and the capital, Amman. The unstable weather condition is expected to persist until Monday. The regions will experience rain showers accompanied by thunder and lightning, with a possibility of hail, which increases the risk of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas. Authorities warned of thunderstorms and reduced visibility due to dust, urging caution and advising to avoid floodwaters while driving.
