Azerbaijan protests over veiled women's education
Azerbaijan has witnessed protests and anger following the implementation of new modifications to the school dress code that resulted in the banning of veiled female students from entering public schools, despite the fact that the decision does not explicitly prohibit veiling. Video footage has documented veiled female students and teachers being prevented from entering schools in the capital Baku and other cities, leading to tears and widespread protests. This escalation occurs amid ongoing discussions regarding the enforcement of these amendments and their impact on religious freedom and women's rights in the country.
