Army intercepts two drug smuggling efforts
The Jordanian Armed Forces, Eastern Military Zone, thwarted two attempts to smuggle large quantities of drugs using guided balloons along Jordan's eastern border. These attempts were detected and the balloons were detonated within Jordanian territory. Investigations are ongoing, and the illegal substances have been seized and handed over to the relevant authorities. This demonstrates the readiness of the border guard units to confront infiltration and smuggling attempts, and to protect the nation's security and stability.
