Balqa university student film for Cairo Festival
The film "Blood Mandate," produced by students of the Computer Graphics and Animation Department at Al-Balqa Applied University, has been nominated to participate in the 2026 Cairo Festival of Francophone Films. The film, which is the first Jordanian work to explore the Viking era and its folklore, was created as part of a graduation project led by Dr. Hiba Al-Hayari. It demonstrates a high level of artistic creativity and technical skills among the students. The organizers and the university affirm that this nomination reflects the students' ability to apply their knowledge to produce a distinctive cinematic work, and it represents an important step in enhancing the presence of creative Jordanian film production on the international stage.
