Sudanese News Agency reported that the army repelled an attempted drone attack by the Rapid Support Forces on Khartoum, successfully shooting down all attacking aircraft before they reached their targets in the capital. These attacks are part of an escalation in the Sudanese conflict, which earlier saw hundreds of Rapid Support Forces members killed during airstrikes on camps in the city of Nyala. The army confirmed that its strikes destroyed militia command centers and killed many of its fighters. Clashes between the army and the Rapid Support Forces continue, with military tensions in the country on the rise.
