The SOFEX 2026 exhibition and conference concluded in Aqaba, drawing official delegations from more than 75 countries, over 350 companies from 38 countries, and more than 20,000 visitors. The event featured displays of modern defense and security equipment and technologies, as well as meetings that led to the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding on joint manufacturing, technology transfer, and research and development. SOFEX Chairman Ayman al-Bataran said the exhibition strengthens the presence of Jordan’s defense industries and opens up new markets for them, while also supporting Aqaba’s economy.
