U.S. Congress Vote Tuesday
Next Tuesday, American voters will elect all 435 members of the House of Representatives and 35 senators, determining the makeup of Congress for the next term. House elections are held every two years, while one-third of the Senate is elected every two years to serve six-year terms. Midterm elections are a test of voters’ confidence in the president’s performance halfway through his term. Americans will also elect local and state officials, and vote on ballot measures that vary by where they live.
