China Acts on La Liga Threat
China’s state broadcaster CCTV has suspended its broadcasts of Spanish league matches following comments by Kylian Mbappé about Chinese leader Mao Zedong, which sparked widespread controversy in China. The matches between Villarreal and Espanyol and between Atlético Madrid and Levante were not broadcast, although the former remained available on the Migu platform. The suspension applies to the entire league, and no date has been announced for broadcasts to resume.
