Investigations revealed that financial disputes led Saif Saed Saqf al-Hait to kill his 21-year-old fiancée, Tamara Imran, in a tourist apartment in Acre, then dismember her body with an electric saw and conceal part of it. Palestinian General Investigations arrested him after he arrived in the West Bank and confessed to the crime. The missing remains were later found and added to the autopsy file. Official findings ruled out a connection to what is known as “family honor.” The prosecution and police are continuing to prepare an indictment ahead of referring him to court.
