MPs Ibrahim al-Tarawneh, Mujhem al-Saqour and Suleiman al-Zaben announced their candidacies for Speaker of Jordan’s 20th House of Representatives during its third ordinary session, held on Monday and chaired by Musa al-Wahsh. The House formed a three-member committee of MPs to oversee the election of the permanent bureau and count the votes. Al-Wahsh chaired the session after al-Saqour declined to do so, as he wished to stand for election.
