Mother Remark Sparks Feud
A war of words erupted between artist Elham Shahin and Mortada Mansour after she criticized, during the 11th edition of the Sharm El-Sheikh International Youth Theatre Festival, people filming members of the public and posting clips on social media. She also condemned inappropriate responses to journalists, including the phrase “Go ask your mother.” Mansour responded with sharp criticism, then threatened to go after her in a Facebook post, challenging her and those backing her to wait for him on November 5 outside the Semiramis InterContinental Hotel.
