The 38th International Technical Conference of the Arab Fertilizer Association opened in Amman, sponsored by the Jordan Phosphate Mines Company. The three-day event brings together experts from 30 countries and representatives of more than 30 companies. The company’s chairman, Mohammed Al-Dhunaybat, called for the establishment of an Arab center for fertilizer research and technology, and for greater use of artificial intelligence, nanotechnology and scientific research to boost added value and sustainability. The association’s secretary-general said the company produced around 12 million tonnes of phosphate in 2025—equivalent to 20% of Arab production and 5% of global production.
