New Job-Aligned Curricula
The Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, in collaboration with the British Council and the University of Strathclyde in the UK, has launched a toolkit for designing curricula and academic programmes in line with the National Qualifications Framework and labour-market needs. The toolkit offers practical guidance on aligning learning outcomes with assessment and feedback, and on using technology and artificial intelligence. It is also based on the “BOLD” framework. Around 25 universities and 100 academics contributed to its development, followed by teams from five universities. The Commission reported that more than 80% of university qualifications had been included in the framework by the end of 2025, and aims to complete the inclusion of all programmes during 2026.
