Al-Faisaly lost 3-1 to Saudi hosts Al-Taawoun on Wednesday at Wolves Park in Buraidah in the fourth round of Group C in the AFC Champions League Two. Parfait Guiagon opened the scoring for Al-Taawoun in the 43rd minute, and Abderrazak Hamdallah added two goals, in the 48th minute from the penalty spot and in the 70th. Al-Faisaly’s goal came via an own goal by Mohammed Al-Saadi. Al-Taawoun moved to 10 points at the top of the group, while Al-Faisaly remain on three. With two rounds left in the group stage, Al-Faisaly’s hopes of reaching the Round of 16 have dwindled.
