Eight tankers catch fire
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said fires broke out aboard two oil tankers and a tugboat in the Strait of Hormuz on Thursday, in two separate incidents. It said the first tanker struck a mine while traveling along an unauthorized southern route, while the second caught fire after straying from its designated route. The tugboat that went to assist it then caught fire.
